Prime Minister Imran Khan chairs meeting of Task Force on Civil Service Reforms

PM directs Task Force not to hesitate in making bold recommendations in the best interests of the country.

 

PM said that the present Government is firmly committed to undertake structural reforms of bureaucracy to make it efficient and responsive to the needs of time. 

 

The Government is committed to de-politicize and insulate Bureaucracy from all kinds of political pressures: PM

 

Bureaucracy was heavily politicized during past ten years: PM    

 

Past politicization has resulted inefficiency and created a fear among bureaucrats: PM  

 

The existing government system cannot compete with private sector where merit determines the positions and seniority.

 

No System can sustain or deliver if accountability and merit is missing: PM 

 

We need to restructure and reform our bureaucracy to make it pro-progress and innovative: PM

 

There is a dire need to promote professionalism in every sphere: PM 

 

We are committed to protect integrity and security of tenure of bureaucrats so that they could devote their energies towards translating political vision into reality: PM 

 

We have to attract best minds to serve the country: PM

 

Talent is abundant in the country; the existing system does not allow talent to emerge: PM

 

Political class also needs to be trained to deal with the changing times: PM
